Former House of Representatives member, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, on Tuesday visited the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), office in Awka to formally declare his intention to contest for the Anambra Central Senatorial seat.
Speaking, Chief. Nwankwo, stated that his decision to join the race is driven by a commitment to serve the people of Anambra Central Senatorial District.
According to Nwankwo, his ambition aligns with the ongoing developmental strides of governor Chukwuma Soludo and he intends to build on the existing policies and achievements of the current administration.
“I am here to consult with my people and my party because I am officially in the race for the Anambra Central Senatorial seat. I have come to inform my party members of my intention to contest and to seek their support,” he said.
He further stated that APGA, as the ruling party in the state, has continued to deliver good governance, and he is motivated to contribute to sustaining and expanding those gains at the national level.
“I am in this race for the progress and welfare of Ndi Anambra. My goal is to key into the vision of our working governor and to support policies that promote sustainable development across all sectors,” Nwakwo added.
Highlighting his policy priorities, Hon. Nwankwo pledged to focus on strengthening security, advancing technology-driven development, and empowering youths and women through targeted programmes and legislative support.
He also stressed the importance of peace, unity, and inclusive governance, noting that he would champion policies that foster harmony and equitable development, particularly in Anambra Central.
“I am here to partner with the state government and other stakeholders to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every community. Together, we can build a more secure, prosperous, and united Anambra,” he added
