The Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Hon. Rome Ibekwe, has commissioned a solar-powered borehole and a modern public toilet facility at Afor Agulu Market as part of efforts to improve public infrastructure and sanitation in the area.
Speaking during the inauguration, Ibekwe expressed gratitude to God for His blessings upon the people of Anaocha, noting that the projects align with the development vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality services and improving the welfare of residents through impactful projects.
The council chairman also commended Governor Soludo for his developmental strides across Anaocha and Anambra State, saying the administration’s policies have continued to enhance the quality of life of the people.
In his remarks, the Deputy Mayor of Anaocha, Barr. Peter Emene, applauded Ibekwe for his commitment to grassroots development and congratulated him on his recognition as the Best Mayor in Anambra State. He also appreciated Governor Soludo for his continued support for local government administration.
Also speaking, the President-General of Agulu, Sir Emma Ibeneme, praised the chairman for executing people-oriented projects in the community and prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon him.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the commissioning ceremony was attended by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, councillors, the Agulu Women President-General, market leaders, and other stakeholders, who commended the administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure and public amenities across the local government area.
