African Democratic Congress Lagos State governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has announced the passing of his mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso).
Rhodes-Vivour shared the news on his X account on Monday, describing her as “a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother” and “the epitome of love.”
He added: “With sadness in our hearts and gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the call to glory of Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour.”
The statement, signed by his brother Olawale Rhodes-Vivour on behalf of the family, noted that funeral arrangements would be announced shortly.
A memorial flyer paid tribute to her as a woman whose “love fiercely and gave endlessly,” saying her love remains “unshaken, in every heart she held.”
Rhodes-Vivour’s political campaign continues amid the family’s bereavement. The family requested prayers and support during this period of loss.
