Anambra Patriots, a socio-political group, has held a reception in honour of its members recently appointed to key government positions.
The honourees included the group’s Convener, Arch. Okey Ezeobi, who was appointed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo as Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, and Mr. Chukwuemeka Agbata, who was reappointed as the Managing Director of the Anambra State ICT Agency.
Also honoured was the President of Anambra Country Club, Awka, Chief Damian Enekwechi, who also serves as the Chairman of Anambra Patriots.
Speaking on behalf of the celebrants, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Architect Okey Ezeobi expressed gratitude to the group for the recognition and thanked Governor Soludo for considering them worthy to serve the state in their respective capacities.
Chairman of the group, Chief Enekwechi, said the appointees would serve as shining examples of the group’s core values of promoting good governance and accountability. He assured Governor Soludo of their commitment to supporting and delivering his vision for Anambra State during his second term in office.
Earlier, Igwe Ben Emeka of Umueri, in his opening remarks, urged members of Anambra Patriots to remain steadfast in championing good governance, integrity, and accountability in all their endeavours.
