American rapper Cardi B has brushed off speculation about a romantic relationship with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, lamenting the intense public attention on her personal life.
In an Instagram story clip, the Grammy winner compared herself to pop icon Britney Spears.
“No cap. I am really Hip-hop’s Britney Spears. But when it comes to me, I can’t even do anything without people talking about it. This is crazy,” Cardi B said.
She noted the disparity in media coverage. “I got all the tea on these celebrities. I know who’s with who and what’s doing what. But guess what? Nobody reports about it. You want to know why? Because nobody cares,” the musician added.
Cardi B’s comments followed reports of the pair being spotted together at Paris Fashion Week and later in Venice, sparking dating rumours.
“You’ve got to take the good with the bad. It is what it is. People pay for this type of talk,” she concluded.
