Tottenham Move Closer to Victor Osimhen Deal, Reports Say

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a deal for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen after receiving internal approval to sign the Nigerian forward this summer.

The 27-year-old Super Eagles international has long expressed interest in a Premier League move, and Spurs currently lack a recognised number nine.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side have already spent £237 million on new signings and are seeking a central striker to complete their summer recruitment.

Football journalist Sacha Tavolieri of Sky Sports Switzerland reported earlier this week that Galatasaray are prepared to sell Osimhen for €65 million, a figure within Tottenham’s budget.

De Zerbi said in July that the club’s “target now is to complete the attacking positions,” adding that “another couple of important players” would be pursued.

Osimhen has also drawn interest from Saudi club Al Hilal, though a move appears unlikely with Karim Benzema still leading their attack, leaving Tottenham in a strong position.
