The Inspector-General of Police, represented by the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, on Thursday, 27th August 2026, joined senior officers, family members, friends, and other dignitaries to pay his last respects to the late retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Emmanuel Ifeanyi Ezeozue, during his funeral ceremony in Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The Commissioner described the late AIG Ezeozue as a distinguished police officer and accomplished public servant who made significant contributions to the Nigeria Police Force and served his fatherland with dedication and commitment.
He commiserated with the bereaved family, friends, colleagues, and associates of the deceased, noting that his worthy service and contributions to policing would remain part of his enduring legacy.
CP Nnanna Oji Ama prayed to God Almighty to grant the deceased eternal rest and grant the bereaved family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. He also appreciated the dignitaries, serving and retired police officers, and other well-wishers who honoured the departed senior officer, describing their presence as a demonstration of the enduring bond of comradeship and solidarity within the Nigeria Police Force.
The Anambra State Police Command joins the Nigeria Police Force and the entire Ezeozue family in mourning the passing of the retired AIG, while celebrating his distinguished service, sacrifice, and enduring legacy.
