NSCDC Anambra Command Renews Commitment To Professionalism

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command has joined institutions across the globe in commemorating the 2026 Customer Service Week from Monday 5th to Friday 9th of October 2026 , a period dedicated to celebrating service excellence and the people who provide critical support to the public daily.

In the spirit of the commemoration, the NSCDC State Commandant, Maku Olatunde, in a statement, reaffirmed the commitment of the Corps to delivering exceptional service through accountability, professionalism and deep respect for the human rights of all citizens.

In his words, “The Corps is a dedicated institution. We value and recognize that public trust is vital to the discharge of our responsibilities, and this encourages us to prioritize public feedback in our ongoing efforts to enhance our services.”

According to him, “Customer Service Week is an annual international event that showcases global service quality, values and goals in relation to the important role played by people who serve and support the public on a daily basis.”

Commandant Maku stated that this year’s theme, “Going the Extra Mile,” underscores the value of exceeding expectations by putting in additional efforts beyond what is required.

He revealed that throughout the week, officers of the Command will engage directly with members of the public, listen to their concerns, and provide assistance where needed. He noted that the initiative is aimed at further strengthening the relationship between the NSCDC and the communities it serves.

“The NSCDC is the society and the society is the NSCDC. This principle highlights our collective responsibility to create a peaceful environment essential for the flourishing of all citizens. Safety, security and peace are foundational elements that enable communities to thrive and pursue social, economic and political progress,” he stated.

He added that over the years, the Command has actively strengthened partnerships with various stakeholders and implemented community-oriented strategies to effectively address the evolving security needs of residents across the state.

“We sincerely appreciate the people of Anambra State for their continued cooperation, trust and support, which are crucial in fostering peace and stability within our communities,” he said.

The State Commandant urged both officers and men including members of the public to continue working together to maintain peace, security and order in the state. He reiterated the Command’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of service delivery and encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities or concerns to the nearest NSCDC formation.
