The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised list of its Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election, naming Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo among its members.
The updated roster, made available to journalists on Tuesday, places President Bola Tinubu at the head of the council. Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda serve as vice-chairmen, alongside Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
Senator Abdulaziz Yari is listed as Director-General. Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu are among the deputy directors-general. Senator Adams Oshiomhole holds the role of Deputy Director-General for Mobilisation.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma serves as secretary of the council, with Senator Ajibola Basiru as deputy secretary and Hadiza Bala Usman as assistant secretary.
At the state level, the list designates several governors and political figures as campaign coordinators. They include Soludo for Anambra, Adeleke for Osun, Wike for Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for Delta, and others such as Babagana Zulum for Borno and Dapo Abiodun for Ogun.
Zonal campaign coordinators and co-coordinators have also been appointed across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. These include Governor Bassey Otu and Victor Giadom for the South-South, Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah for the South-East, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the South-West, and corresponding figures for the northern zones.
Former governors and party leaders appear as advisers, among them former APC national chairmen Adebisi Akande and Abdullahi Adamu, as well as former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun and Wale Edun.
The appointments form part of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 presidential election campaign. The council is expected to be formally inaugurated in Abuja.
