After a warm welcome to the state house of assembly by the honorable speaker Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor on Thursday, as the house was about to kick off with the business of the day at about 12pm. The house was called to order.
Hon Ejike Okechukwu member representing Anaocha 2 constituency calls the attention of the honorable members to the standing order of the house of assembly. He said that according to order 5, which talks on quorum, state’s that the quorum of each meeting should not be less than one third of the honorable members.
He said, looking at the members present at the house, is not up to a quorum and thereby moves a motion for adjournment pending the time they form a quorum.
Hon Onyebuchi Augustine Offor member representing Ekwusigo constituency seconded the motion for adjournment, pending when they form a quorum.
Hon Godwin Nnamdi Okafor member representing Awka south constituency moved a motion that the plenary session be adjourned and to reconvene on Tuesday 8th of February 2022 at exactly 10am.
Hon. Onyebuchi Augustine Offor seconded the motion moved for adjournment.
