HON OBIDIGWE DONATES STUDENTS’ DESKS TO DIAMOND SECONDARY SCHOOL, RECEIVES ENDLESS EULOGIES FROM VEN ONOVO

The Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Benjamin Chinedu Obidigwe was today, 29th August 2022, praised to the highest heavens by the Vicar of St. Michael and All Angels Ivite Aguleri, Ven. Emmanuel Ikechukwu Onovo who is also the manager of Diamond Nursery, Primary and Secondary School Ivite Aguleri.

The Archdeacon rendered this eulogy while receiving sets of students’ desks sent to the secondary school Hon Obidigwe.

It should be recalled that the seasoned lawmaker had in the first quarter of this year attracted the construction of a classroom block for Diamond School. Diamond School is a group of mission owned institutions that provides quality and affordable education to especially students from humble backgrounds. Before now, the School has only Nursery and Primary schools as it could not afford a secondary school due to lack of classroom facility. The five-classroom block, which is now completed through the timely intervention of Hon. Obidigwe, would be used for the secondary school. This according to the Vicar was a dream come true and a prayer answered for the people of Ivite Aguleri who over the years, have longed and prayed for a well-equipped, well-staffed but affordable secondary school.

The school management chaired by Ven. Onovo has hit the ground running even before the beginning of the new academic session and has already conducted an entrance examination for the 2022 and 2023 academic session slated to kick off by September. The sets of chairs donated by Hon Obidigwe would therefore be of inestimable help to the indigent students already given admission but could not afford their desks.

Ven. Onovo who spoke with correspondents from Angels Network News and ABS expressed his unfathomable joy at what God has been doing to Diamond Group of Schools and the entire Anambra East and West through Hon. Obidigwe. The renowned cleric who disclosed that he has worked as a priest in Anambra East and West in the last 19 years told our correspondents that he has never seen politician so concerned with the welfare of his people especially the less privileged like Hon. Obidigwe. He explained that this was not the first time the lawmaker was going out of his way not just to attract state projects for his constituency but to deploy his own personal resources to help those in need. Ven. Onovo went on to state that Hon. Obidigwe has on more than one occasion organized different empowerment programs for widows and the youths. “There are also many indigent students who are in schools across the Nigeria today thanks to the scholarship scheme of Hon. Obidigwe.” Many youths from the constituency have also been sent to various skills acquisition schemes, by the lawmaker, the latest one being the youths he sent to Israel to acquire skills in mechanized agriculture.

Going further, the Vicar thanked God for bringing his path and that of Hon. Obidigwe together stating that the encountered has helped his priestly ministry to the poor immensely.  After observing that good, kindhearted and God-fearing politicians like Hon. Obidigwe are rare gems difficult to come by, the man of God beseeched Divine providence to protect and grant the Aguleri lawmaker the good health to continue the good work he is doing among God’s people.

Finally, Ven. Onovo called on the people of Anambra East and West to reciprocate the noble gestures Hon Obidigwe has shown them over the years by voting massively to give him a resounding victory at next year’s polls. Just as Obidigwe emerged unopposed as the APGA flag-bearer for Anambra East and West Federal Constancy at the primaries, the Ven. has no doubt that, the people would likewise elect him unopposed at the polls next year. “The outcome of next year’s election in Anambra East and West is already certain because Hon. Obidigwe is passionately loved by his people”,  concluded Ven. Onovo.
