Anambra Govt Urges 2022 Pilgrims To Be Good Ambassadors

 

Anambra state government has asked the would-be pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and as well be focused on the major aim of the journey which is renewing their spiritual life and praying for the state and Nigeria in general.

Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim while addressing the thirteen intending pilgrims of the 2022 self-sponsored pilgrimage in the conference hall at the Government House, Awka urged them to also pray elected leaders for more wisdom and direction.

The Permanent Secretary Office of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Ifeoma Uzokah and the leader of the team, Barrister Obiora Nweke who is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on pilgrims, while describing Pilgrimage as one of the cardinal points for expression of faith, congratulated the intending pilgrims for being among the chosen, as according to them, they were carefully selected and screened, even as they expressed hope that they will be of good conduct.

Speaking, one of the intending pilgrims, Surveyor Chukwudi Nzomiwu, thanked the state government for finding them worthy for the trip, promising that they will keep their eyes on the ball, and will use the period to pray for divine intervention on numerous challenges confronting the state and Nigerian nation at the moment.

The thirteen intending pilgrims of the 2022 self-sponsored pilgrimage will embark on the journey on the 26th December.
