Uha Ofalla Festival Nimo 2022: Arthur Eze donates ₦20m, 19 Chieftency titles accorded [videos]

Uha Festival, Nimo, Anambra State, was a two days occasion held on the 29th and 30th of December, 2022, with the former themed “Dinner with the Owelle of Nimo”, and later “Uha Festival Proper”.

 

Day two began at around 12:00 p.m at the palace of H.R.H. Ígwé Maximus Ike Oliobi (Ezeoranyelu 1), the Owelle of Nimo, ANN reports.

It was an event that was ushered in by different potential Chieftency title holders, with the sound of traditional music and drums.

ANN gathered that at the heat of the event, the there were arrivals of dignitaries like Chief Arthur Eze, the Onowu of Nimo, High Chief Hon. Justices A. I. Iguh, Hon. Chief Hon. Pete Ibida (Chief Whip), all accompanied with heavy forces and APGA supporters flying the party’s flag.

ANN Correspondent recently reported that Chief Hon. Pete Ibida, a current Chief Wipe of the Anambra State House of Assembly is contesting for the Federal House of Representatives.

One of the major highlights of the event was Ígwé Maximus Ike Oliobi going around to greet the people of Nimo who graced the occasion in attendance. In a video, it shows the Ígwé making a kind of procession along with his cabinet of Chiefs, Iyoms and Ichiés on White traditional outfits.

Also, there were facilitations and donations (in multi-million) by various town groups, village groups and individuals — NTDU Americas Inc, NTDU, Chief Arthur Eze, Chief Hon. Pete Ibida, etc. Notably, Chief Arthur Eze made a sum donation of 20 million naira and made a few speech of exacting the Owelle of Nimo and and his people.

In addition, one of the main highlight of the day was the accordance of Chieftency title to various individuals, notably, Dr Chuba Awagu, Simon Ibida, Chief Emeka Chinwendu, Nnaelue John Akunne, Hon. Patron Sir Donatus N. Ibekwe, Engr. Sir Augustine C. Ezedinachi (KSJI) MNSE, Dr Chizoba Joakin Ezepue, Engr. Dr. Ignatius Okechukwu Okonkwo, Engr. Peter Atupu Atupulazi (Orimili Nimo), Barr. Anthony Ifeacho Iguh, Engr. Nnamdi Chikelu Agbim, Abalanze Engr. Arize Akpuokwe, Felix Chike Anizoba, Ọzọ Chukwudi Edwin Akpu, Dr Winnie Edith Ngọzi Ochukpue, Sir, Dr Obiora Ifeanyichukwu Gregory Omile, Engr. Osita Kokelu, Hon. Sir Chris Okoye (KSM), and Ọzọ Sir Ifeanyi Ngene.

There were entertainment by various registered groups and masquerades.

The occasion came to a close by a remark given by High Chief Ndubuisi Obijiofor (Ikemba na Nimo).
