Cristiano Ronaldo has endured his first setback since leaving Manchester United for Saudi Arabia.
Al Nassr was defeated 3-1 by Al Ittihad on Thursday night in the Saudi Super Cup under Ronaldo’s leadership.
The Portuguese and his team lost 3-1 to Nuno Espirito Santo’s team at the King Fahd International Stadium, eliminating them from the competition.

As he arrived at the King Fahd International Stadium for the clash, Ronaldo received a rather surprising reaction from the home crowd.
The 37-year-old, who has been treated like royalty since making his big-money move to the Middle East, was greeted by chants for his eternal rival Messi.
Ronaldo played against Messi last weekend in a friendly and is now settling into domestic action with his new side.
The evening however got worse for Al-Nassr as they lost 3-1 to Al-Ittihad.
Talisca got the consolation for Al-Nassr, with Ronaldo yet to score his first goal for the club.
