Njikoka Transition Committee Chairman, Mr. Clem Aguiyi, has called on lawmakers elected at the just concluded polls to ensure that they attract dividends of democracy to their Local Government Area.
Aguiyi urged the elected legislators to support Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s developmental strides in the state through quality legislation, even as he promised to work with the members-elect.
Thanking the people of Njikoka for their faith in the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr. Aguiyi assured that the best reward for the people is to continue the good work APGA government is doing in the Local Government Area.
ANN reports that the TC Chairman explained that the good work of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, and fielding best candidates ensured seamless victory for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the just-concluded state assembly election in the Local Government Area.
ANN recalls that INEC Returning Officer for the 2023 Njikoka Constituency 1 Election, Dr Michael Okey Enemali, had announced that Mr. Chidiebele Nnamdi Ibemeka of APGA scored seven thousand four hundred and fourteen votes to defeat Johnson Chukwuebuka Nwachukwu of Peoples Democratic Party PDP and others.
For the 2023 Njikoka Constituency Two Election, INEC Returning Officer, Professor Chuka Enuka, announced that Dr. Jude Akpua, also of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, scored eight thousand five hundred and twenty-four votes to defeat, Mr Humphrey Iloh Anunobi of the Labour Party and others.
