The day two of the triennial Achalla Ururamma celebration at the Community Primary School Field Achalla, Umuchu was grand and historic.
The event which was graced by the Mayor of Aguata Local Government Area, Prince Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike, and the Isi Obi Achalla, Chief Dr. Emmanuel Nnopu also had Chief Ebuka Samuel Chukwuonye as the major sponsor.
The Chairman, Ogbuehi Chukwuebuka Uzoezie praised Ndi Achalla for their unity of purpose and charged them not to relent in supporting their community development initiatives.
Speaking, the Chairman, Achalla Representative Assembly, ARA, Chief Chimezie Ikeh noted that his administration targets to establish a bank and a motor park to enhance business activities in Achalla, calling on good spirited individuals in the community to use their resources in the development of humanity.
He congratulated High Chief Abraham Ikechukwu Otti, High Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, Chief Ebere Akanonu, Double Chief Oliver Asiegbu, Chief Ebuka Samuel Chukwuonye, Chief Engr. Nnamdi Kizito Onunkwo, among others for their monumental community development strides in Achalla and beyond, noting that a good number of sons and daughters of Achalla would receive various awards for their contributions to the advancement of the community so as to motivate others to toe their steps.
Responding after receiving an award of excellence, the Mayor of Aguata Council Area, Prince Dr. Chibueze Ofobuike described Achalla Umuchu as a model in community development across Aguata Local Government Area.
While appreciating Achalla community for recognising his grassroots developmental strides with an Excellence Award, Prince Ofobuike promised to support education in the community as a means of promoting transgenerational growth.
Highlights of the celebration were quiz competition, talent show, cultural dances by Ndi Nludi, the finals of Ada Achalla Beauty Pageantry, and awards to deserving individuals, among others.
In their separate responses, the awardees, including High Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, Chief Samuel Chukwuebuka Chukwuonye, Chief Engr. Kizito Nnamdi Onunkwo, Double Chief Oliver Asiegbu, Ogbuehi Chukwuebuka Uzoezie, Dr. Ejike Akammadu, Barr. Kingsley Onunkwo, Mr. Ebere Nnebedum, and Ogbuehi Tochukwu Anulunkor, among others expressed delight that their little efforts were recognised and promised to do more for the betterment of Achalla.
