… Reinforces commitment to grassroots development
The Member representing Aguata Federal Constituency, Engr. Dominic Okafor, has officially flagged off the construction of the Igwe Emmanuel Chukwukadibia Onyeneke Road in Ekwulobia.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Okafor described the project as more than a road construction initiative, emphasizing its transformative impact.
“This project is about connecting our people to opportunities, easing movement, and enhancing everyday life,” he stated.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that
the road serves as a strategic link between Aguata High School, the traditional ruler’s palace, adjoining communities, and the ever-busy Orlu Road, making it a vital infrastructural asset upon completion.
The project is being executed by the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI), an agency of the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and handled by Silverbird Apparel Limited.
The project, widely regarded as a critical intervention, is expected to enhance connectivity, boost local commerce, and improve the socio-economic landscape of the area.
The flag-off ceremony was witnessed by the traditional ruler of Ekwulobia, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Engr. Emmanuel Chukwukadibia Onyeneke (Ezejiofor II)
alongside his cabinet chiefs, community leaders, the President General of Ekwulobia Town Union, Chief Azubuike Ezechukwu, Hon. Tony Muobike, Member representing Aguata 2 Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, and Chief Titus Anigbogu, Chairman of APGA Stakeholders in Aguata and residents.
