The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has pegged the cost of its presidential nomination form at ₦100 million as it released a timetable for its 2026 primary elections ahead of the 2027 general polls.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, announced the fee structure and schedule in a statement on Sunday.
According to the timetable, sale of nomination forms will run from May 5 to May 10, 2026, while submission of completed forms is scheduled for May 11 to 13, 2026. Screening of aspirants will take place from May 14 to 15, with primaries culminating in the presidential primary on May 25, 2026.
The ADC also set the governorship nomination form at ₦50 million, Senate at ₦20 million, House of Representatives at ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly at ₦3 million.
To encourage broader participation, the party introduced concessions, granting a 50 percent discount on nomination forms for youths and 25 percent for women and persons with disabilities.
The announcement comes as the ADC grapples with a lingering leadership crisis and internal divisions. A recent Supreme Court ruling reinstated the faction led by former Senate President David Mark, even as factional tensions and legal battles persist.
The party urged all members, stakeholders and prospective aspirants to strictly adhere to the released timetable and guidelines.
The high cost of forms aligns the ADC with the ruling All Progressives Congress, which had earlier set a similar ₦100 million fee for its presidential ticket.
