Anambra State House of Assembly today 18th October 2022 resumed plenary after the recess with the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uche Victor Okafor announcing the unfortunate death of the majority leader of the House, Late Hon. Dr. (Pharm) G. Nnamdi Okafor who until his departure was the Honourable Member who represented Awka South I Constituency in the State Legislature.
Recall that the late majority leader died on the 23rd of August 2022 in South Africa. His remains according to a letter from the family of the deceased to the state legislature, stated that the remains of the deceased lawmaker have been repatriated to Nigeria, and his burial, scheduled for the 9th and 10th of December 2022 in his hometown, Awka, Anambra state.
After the short period of plenary, condolence register was signed by the Hon Speaker, Hon Uche Okafor, Hon. Pascal Agbodike, the deputy speaker, Hon. Chidi Udemadu, Hon. Onyebuchi Ofor and others.
