Mr. Mark Okoye says his vision and mission is to transform the system by investing in infrastructure that will support the revenue of Anambra government.Â
Okoye during the bilateral budget defense at the Anambra assembly house of assembly, revealed that the agency will be coming with a law next year 2023, in collaboration with state lawmakers to amend the law on ANSIPPA.Â
“We also hope to lunch the new cooperation in April 2023 because Anambra state has potentials and opportunities that needs to be announced to the world. Our mission is to harness all government agencies and invite intending investors. In the past six weeks, we have done alot towards achieving this goal and we are preparing towards Anambra Development Cooperation (ADC).
“ANSIPPA will concentrate more on energy, power, water resources and financial services. We are hoping to transform Anambra capital base. We are working with capital advisers and transaction cooperation both within and outside the country. We believe that this is the right way to develop and accelerate the government. Anambra stands in a very good position even in diaspora to execute a project like this.
“The recurrent budget last year was fourty (40) million. The current expenditure is what we will be working with so that we can raise funding. We are working with the highest callibers of financial advisers. There’s soo much more we can do to help support Anambra state government and we also need to support civil servants.
“ANSIPPA is a structure that should be used to conceptualize income generating infrastructure. Our mission is to invite investors from all parts of the country and world”. Okoye told the finance and appropriation committee members.
Speaking to correspondents after the defense,
Mr. Mark Okoye added by saying that alot of resources the budget is channeled too, is towards infrastructural development, roads, healthcare and education. Many enterprises can be run as viable businesses and enterprises. We are exploring concession and privatization of some enterprises.
“We are working with the private sector to get them up and running again and with cash, we can get the technical resources to support them. ANSIPPA has signed fourty-two (42) agrements in the past years and twenty (20) has been exited. Amongst those remaining, five (5) are working pretty well. Governor Chukwuma Soludo has approved for us to look at them carefully with strategic recommendations on what we should do.Â
“Anytime there’s inflation, it affects the private sector meaning there’s an understanding behind this setbacks. Anambra development cooperation is coming and it’s a new approach with solid board of directors who will ensure that the states resources are channeled appropriately as captured in Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s manifesto.Â
“We will be looking at gas to power plants, major water and transportation projects, housing projects and Infrastructure projects that supports the growth of the economy. Our job as ANSIPPA will be to take projects from conceptualization stage to a bankable stage after which we can invite the rest of the world, ndi-Anambra in diaspora to invest in the project”. Okoye concluded.
