Anambra State has once again demonstrated its pride of place as the cradle of academic excellence in the country as Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, a student of the Anglican Girls Secondary School Nnewi (AGSS) emerged the overall best student in the 2023 Joint Admission Matriculation Board examination with an aggregate score of 362 .
Anambra State Commissioner of Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh while commending the brilliant performance of Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma described it as “excellent and very outstanding”.
The commissioner maintained that the performance coming from the State has again demonstrated the investment and priority the administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo accords the education sector in Anamosa.
“This outstanding performance of Ejikeme has indeed brought joy and happiness to every Ndi-Anambra. We are proud of her and grateful to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for giving top priority to education in the state”. We will monitor her academic progression as she pursues whatever career she desires’.
The breakdown of her score goes as follows: English; 98 physics; 89 Biology; 94 Chemistry 81.
