Anambra Gov’t To Recruit More Teachers Soon: Soludo Declares

Anambra State government says it will recruit more teachers soon before the November 8th governorship election.

Angel Network News (ANN) Professor Chukwuma Soludo who made the announcement on Tuesday 7th October 2025, at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka during this year’s World Teachers’ Day Celebration, stated that more teachers will be injected into the system on or before the gubernatorial election.

According to the Governor Soludo current basic statistics reveals that Anambra is leading due to fantastic job by the teachers, reaffirmed that the future of any society is dependent on quality of teachers and the quality of teaching, expressing the joy that different from what he met on assumption when public education was completely neglected and abandoned, public school enrolment has surged.

In her address, Anambra Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh pledged to continue declaring the good works of the Governor, just as the State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Mrs Chika Chukwugozie, stated that the day is usually used to appreciate the valuable contributions of teachers in nation building.

Chairman of Post Primary Schools Service Commission, PPSSC, Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu, Chairman of Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, among others, enumerated many exploits achieved by the Governor in the education sector within three and half years in office, assuring of continued support.

Governor Soludo was presented with a cheque of three million naira, one hundred and thirty thousand naira at the event whose theme is “Together for teachers, together for tomorrow”.

ANN gathered that 8,115 teachers have already been recruited by the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration
