The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has enjoined Nigerian fathers to continue to take deliberate steps to ensure that their children are given the right training and exposure to become useful to themselves and society.
In his goodwill message to Nigerian fathers as they join their counterparts world over to celebrate the 2026 International Father’s Day, Rt. Hon. Udeze who extolled fathers who dedicate themselves to raising confident, responsible and compassionate children, urged women and children to continue to support the fathers as they carry out the herculean task that help their families and the country to grow.
The Speaker noted that the society is better with fathers who rise to the great demand of responsibility, guiding the children alright, preparing them for the future as well as bequeathing to them values or material comfort money cannot provide, and also by personal examples of discipline, integrity, respect and love among other good virtues.
Rt. Hon. Udeze charged fathers including all parental figures to shun acts that challenge their integrity and status and urged them to take active hold of their families by providing adequate protection and other sundary necessities for them at all times.
He prayed God to empower fathers both spiritually and physically to enable them to carry out their onerous duties of raising responsible and God fearing families.
