The Anambra State house of assembly plenary kicked of with an opening prayer led by the honorable speaker Uche Okafor on Tuesday, he also acknowledge the presence of everyone present.
The votes and proceedings of the last plenary was checked and carried by the honorable members present at the plenary.
In order 10, a bill that was due for second reading was adjourned due to lack of proper disbursement of the bill paper to the members of the house.
Hon. Paschal Agbodike the deputy speaker of the house stated that “the bill was due for second reading but looking at the mood of the house, the honorable members are not with the bill paper.
He further moved a motion that the reading of the bill, be adjourned to the next plenary.
Hon. Nonso Okafor member representing Nnewi North constituency seconded the motion that the bill be adjourned for reading in the next plenary.
Meanwhile Hon. Udoba Patrick Obalum member representing Anambra west constituency, in todays plenary expressed his gratitude to Willie Obiano the governor of Anambra State, For his quick response to the call over communal crisis in his constituency.
He said that, Anambra west experienced communal crisis between Orom etiti and Umu Enwelum Anam over the weekend but the brisk response of the governor Chief Willie Obiano Restores peace in both communities.
Hon. Paschal Agbodike the deputy speaker moved a motion that the plenary session be adjourned to reconvene on Thursday the 24th day of February.
Hon. Noble Igwe member representing Ogbaru 1 constituency seconded the motion for adjournment.
