…Shun bitterness and the use of abusive words
The Labour Party Senatorial candidate for Anambra North District Dr. Tony Nwoye has inaugurated his campaign council and unveiling of office at Nteje in Oyi local government area, Anambra state
In his speech during the ceremony Dr. Nwoye charged members of his campaign team in oyi to work towards the success of all the labour party candidates from the state assembly to the presidential candidate Mr. Peter obi, stressing that he has the competence and capacity to give the people of Anambra North quality representation.
According to Dr Nwoye, “I have attracted many road projects to the area especially in Nsugbe and more than one hundred and eighty youths where given jobs in most federal government owned parastatals”.
Dr. Nwoye expressed regret that billions of naira meant for projects in Anambra North senatorial district was diverted by the present occupant of the senatorial position. He expressed shock that a senator will be claiming to be constructing roads for the people without providing drainage system for such roads describing it as a waste of public fund.
Dr. Nwoye, a former House of representatives member commended the people of Oyi for being the first council area to sponsor the printing of his posters, vests and caps free of charge courtesy of an illustrious son of Nteje Mr. Christian Nweke adding that Oyi has the largest concentration of prominent personalities in the entire area in the class of Dr. Tim Menakaya, Chief Mike Nwakalor, Chief Pat Nwakoby, Chief Dennis odife and Chief Frank oramulu among others.
Nwoye said that the people of Omanbala should be greatful to Mr. Peter Obi who facilitated the emergence of Chief Willie Obiano as the governor of Anambra state and Obiano worked very hard to ensure that the governorship position returned to the south leading to the election of Professor Charles Soludo, in the spirit of giving all parts of Anambra state a sense of belonging. Nwoye emphasized that it is the turn of Oyi and Anambra West to produce House of Representatives members.
Dr. Nwoye concluded by stating that the presidential candidate of labour party will win the 2023 presidential election in the country including all the polling units in Isuofia the home town of professor Charles Soludo.
In his address the Director-General (DG) of Obi-Datti campaign council in Anambra state Chief Joe-martins Uzodike charged party members to shun bitterness and the use of abusive words as effort is on going for the peaceful resolution of the misunderstanding between the state governor Professor soludo and Mr Peter Obi, adding that no effort should be spared in ensuring that Obi becomes the next president of Nigeria.
According to Chief Uzodike, labour party can be described as a division four team that suddenly becomes a top premier league side due to the signing of highly talented players. He appealed to the people of Anambra North to support Dr. Nwoye who has been consistent in the pursuit of his political career, while paying tributes to some persons of Oyi extraction who contributed to his success in life.
Also speaking the chairman of Tony Nwoye campaign council in Oyi, Chief Edwin Aghadiuno described Nwoye as a man of the people, who has the interest of the masses at heart stressing that the people of the area will deliver this time around. He said some old politicians in the area are involved in the pull him down syndrome, since they are not interested in having successors.
In his remarks, the coordinator of Tony Nwoye campaign council in Oyi Mr. Ifeanyi Obi said the Anambra North senatorial slot is rotating between omanbala region and onitsha/Ogbaru people and the present occupant having done two terms without anything to show for it, should step aside, adding that it is an insult for a woman to challenge the entire omanbala region for a political contest while thanking Dr. Nwoye for giving them the opportunity to serve in his campaign council.
