Anambra Woman Urged To Aspire For Leadership, As Idemili-South LGA Holds Summit

The Commissioner for Special Duties, Barrister Beverley Nkemdiche Ikpeazu has said, women are stronger species than men, stating that they should aspire for leadership.

Hon. Nkemdiche Ikpeazu, a former lawmaker, made the call recently, at the council secretariat hall, Ojoto, during 2026 Women Summit and urged women to be the best, show capacity and support one another.

In her speech, the lawmaker representing Onitsha North one Constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Barr. Mimiy Azikiwe said, women are very special.

Hon. Azikiwe appealed to women, to believe in themselves because now is the time to arise and take decisive actions for change against all odds.

The Local Government Chairman of Idemili South, Hon. Amaka Obi, in her remark, stated that the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo has politically empowered alot of women to participate in politics.

The Mayor while appreciating Governor Soludo for appointing many women in his cabinet, advised them to strike a healthy balance between pursuing career-success and raising well-adjusted and emotionally-balanced children towards maintaining a happy family.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the summit was attended by ASUBEB Chairman, Dr. Mrs Vera Nwadinobi, Dr. Ngozi Akunna, Head of LGA, Comrade Victor Orji, HPA, Mrs Uju Emordi, Mrs Anyika, Supervisory Councillor, Hon. Obisieike, support groups and many others.
