APGA Presents Certificates Of Return To 44 Candidates Ahead Of 2027 Elections In Anambra

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance has officially presented Certificates of Return to 44 candidates who emerged victorious in the party’s primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections in Anambra State.

The presentation ceremony took place at the party’s regional headquarters in Awka at the weekend.

The certificates were handed over by APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, in the presence of party members and supporters.

Speaking with journalists after the event, Opara described the certificates as a reflection of the mandate and confidence reposed in the candidates by APGA members across the state.

He noted that the 44 candidates comprise three senatorial candidates, 11 House of Representatives candidates, and 30 candidates for the Anambra State House of Assembly.

According to him, the successful completion of the primary process and presentation of Certificates of Return demonstrates APGA’s readiness for the 2027 elections.

“So far, with this successful presentation, I can tell you that APGA is on course and has gone far ahead of the timeline stipulated in the 2027 electoral guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission. I am very sure APGA will be the first political party to submit the names of its candidates to the commission,” Opara said.

He added that the development signifies that APGA, under the leadership of Chukwuma Charles Soludo, remains united and fully prepared for the 2027 general elections.

In their separate acceptance speeches, the candidates expressed appreciation to the party leadership and members for the confidence reposed in them.

They pledged to work towards delivering victory for APGA in their respective senatorial districts, federal constituencies, and state constituencies during the 2027 polls.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the event attracted party supporters from all 21 local government areas of Anambra State.
