Barcelona forward Raphinha has been sidelined for five weeks after suffering a right hamstring injury while on international duty with Brazil, the club confirmed on Friday.
The 29-year-old Brazilian international sustained the injury during Brazil’s 2-1 friendly defeat to France and will miss approximately eight matches for the Catalan side.
Those fixtures include LaLiga encounters against Atlético Madrid, Espanyol, Celta Vigo, Getafe and Osasuna, as well as the first and second legs of the Champions League quarter-final against Atlético Madrid and the potential semi-final ties.
Raphinha, who joined Barcelona from Leeds United in 2022, is now racing to regain fitness in time for Brazil’s squad selection ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
