According to reports, Flick personally informed his players and coaching staff of the loss early in the morning. Despite the personal tragedy, the German tactician has decided to remain in Catalonia and take charge of the team for the high-stakes El Clasico at Spotify Camp Nou, where Barcelona can clinch their second consecutive La Liga title with a victory.
Flick is expected to return to Germany to be with his family after the match.
