A non-governmental organization “In Our Mind Foundation” founded by Angel Onuko-Nmoh, a United Kingdom-based nurse, has offset the school fees of seven less privileged pupils at Akwunweke Digbo Community Primary School, Otolo, Nnewi, Anambra State.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the foundation also donated school bags, shoes, books, and other writing and educational materials to the pupils of the school as part of its activities to commemorate the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
Speaking before the distribution of the materials, the Team Lead of the foundation in Anambra State, Engr. Ikechukwu Onuko, promised that more pupils of the school would benefit from the school fees initiative and stated that the project is part of the foundation’s kiddies’ outreach programme, which is targeted at increasing access to quality education and lessening the burden on parents and guardians.
The Team Lead added that apart from reaching out to children, the foundation has intervened to rescue women from abusive marriages, empower young people, and positively impact the lives of the less privileged.
Appreciating the foundation, the Headmistress of Akwunweke Digbo Community Primary School, Nnewi, Mrs. Justina Ogbonna, said it was her happiest day as the head teacher of the school, noting that many of her pupils previously lacked basic writing materials.
