Award winning Spoken word Artiste, Writer, model, Hafsat Abdullahi aka Hafvy, recently made an exciting announcement on social media, stating that she has joined the Recording Academy.
Taking to her Instagram page, an excited Hafvy, in a video, pledged to use the platform to promote her craft and celebrate the often-overlooked individuals in the music industry.
Sharing invitation letter she received from Grammys, she wrote:
“It is with great joy, I announce that I have been selected and recommended by my peers to be a member of the @recordingacademy
“What this means is that I get to be involved in the recommendation and the voting for the Grammys in celebration of music.
As a child I’ve always been a lover of good music and it’s so much honor that I am given the privilege of being a part of such a huge body that gets to celebrate music. Thank you Grammy and thanks to the recording academy for this honor.”
