Lewandowski Bids Farewell to Barcelona After 4 Trophy-laden Years

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has officially announced his departure from FC Barcelona, closing a successful four-season chapter at the Catalan club.

The 37-year-old former Bayern Munich forward made the announcement on Saturday through a heartfelt public statement, confirming the end of his stint with the Blaugrana.

“After four years full of challenges and hard work, it’s time to move on. I leave with the feeling that the mission is accomplished,” Lewandowski said. “Four seasons, three league titles. I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days.”

He added: “Catalonia is my place on earth. Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these wonderful four years. A special thanks to President Laporta for giving me the chance to live the most incredible chapter of my career. Barça is back where it belongs. Long live Barça. Long live Catalonia.”

During his time at the club, Lewandowski played 191 matches and scored 119 goals across all competitions. He helped Barcelona secure three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups, and one Copa del Rey, playing a central role in the team’s recent revival.

The announcement marks the end of a prolific spell for the veteran goalscorer, who joined Barcelona in 2022 and quickly became a key figure in their attack. No details were immediately released on his next destination.
