National Youth Games: Rojenny MD ‘Ezeonwuka’ Urges Team Anambra To Go For Gold

Managing Director of Rojenny Stadium and Games Village, Oba, Rommy Ezeonwuka has advised Anambra athletes at the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State to be the rest in their various sporting events

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Ezeonwuka gave the advice on Tuesday as Team Anambra arrived Asaba, Delta State Capital to compete for glory and fame in the developmental game.

Ezeonwuka, a foremost sports facility investor said though the youth games was meant to prepare budding athletes for the future, they should endeavour to come top in their various events

” I wish Anambra well at the National Youth Game, sports is my passion and there are a number of opportunities for our youths in sports.

“That is why I built the first and the biggest privately owned olympic stadium more than 40 years ago, even though the state government and those in charge of sports have refused to see the need to partner with us.

“I advise our team to be good ambassadors of Anambra, I encourage them to go for gold and I want to commend Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for giving them the opportunity,” he said.

Ezeonwuka called on Soludo to work with private investors in the sports sector as facility was still a big challenge in the state.

“If Rojenny Stadium is used as a training ground for Anambra and Nigerian athletes for two years, we will rule the world at the next Olympics,” he said

ANN gathered that Anambra is fielding a total of 124 U15 athletes in 20 Sporting Events at the Festival which will officially kick off at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Wednesday.
