Nimo President-General ‘Anakpe’ Outlines Plans, Calls For Support, Suggestions And Constructive Criticisms

Engineer Dan Anakpe (Zeelunjo) the newly elected President-General (PG) of Nimo community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra state has expressed his gratitude to Owelle Nimo, HRM Ezeoranyelu Max Ike Oliobi, Onowu Nimo; Chief Justice Ononiba, Cabinets, stakeholders, his supporters and all who made the election possible.

Engr Anakpe in his speech calls for support, suggestions and constructive criticisms, stating that his administration will be open and transparent.

“With gratitude to Almighty God, I, Engr. Dan Zeelunjo Anakpe, thank you all for electing me and my executive to oversee the affairs of Nimo for the next three years. I want to inform you that my administration will hit the ground running immediately after handover.

“We therefore pray for your unreserved support as we begin our administration in accordance with government directives. We need your suggestions and constructive criticisms as my phone number and those of other members of the executive will be made available in the public domain.

“Our mission is to bring peace and progress. We will start with Oye Nimo; to make it a bustling daily market. Oye Nimo used to be a widely known market that people from far and near used to do their trading. But today, Oye Nimo is a shadow of itself. This is why we need to dialogue on how to revive her lost glory.

“Sustainable economic development for Nimo will only be achieved through this. Other developmental issues will follow suit.

“We are going to run an open door administration that will take every suggestion of yours into consideration.

“My vision is to change the narrative in Nimo. Government of Anambra State has made it known that chieftancy titles shall be henceforth given only to those who have made significant impact on Nimo.

“I therefore call on all Nimo indigenes both at home and abroad to make the interest of Nimo a priority and join hands with my administration to ensure a more progressive Nimo.

“Come and build our roads and build pipe borne water and we will invite the governor to come and commission them.

“Zeelunjo is my given name from birth which transliterates to “Abhor sin”. In the light of my name, I call on all of us to abhor sin. Let my name guide us in all we are doing this period.

“I will fight corruption in all forms in all our activities. We will plug all loopholes in the system.

“I thank those who have already started calling us to pledge their support to our administration. We therefore call on others to borrow a leaf from them. Three years is a long time and a short time as well. Let us therefore come together to work with a good developmental template for Nimo community.
