Njikoka Mayor Flags-off Abagana-Oye-Nimo Road Rehabilitation

The Chairman of Njikoka Local Government Area, Barr. Chinedu Ononiba, officially flagged off the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the 5.9-kilometer Abagana–Oye–Nimo Road.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the contract was awarded to Dimension Rocks Limited, a reputable construction firm known for delivering quality road projects within the state.

During the flag-off ceremony, Mayor Ononiba emphasized the importance of the project in enhancing the quality of life for residents and fostering economic growth. He urged the contractors to adhere to the highest standards of quality and to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe.

“The Abagana–Oye–Nimo Road serves as a critical link between several communities, facilitating the movement of people, goods, and services.

“Its rehabilitation is expected to alleviate traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and boost economic activities by improving access to markets and other essential services.

“The project aligns with the broader vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo CFR to create a livable and prosperous Anambra State through strategic infrastructural development.

“These projects aim to address the infrastructural deficits in the area and to lay a solid foundation for sustainable development’. Ononiba declared.

Community leaders and stakeholders present at the event expressed their appreciation for the government’s commitment to improving local infrastructure.

The rehabilitation of the Abagana–Oye–Nimo Road is part of a series of infrastructural projects initiated by the Njikoka Local Government Council under Mayor Ononiba’s leadership.

Residents are optimistic that the improved road network will attract investment, enhance mobility, and contribute to the overall development of Njikoka LGA.
