The president of Akwa Ibom community in Anambra State, Akparawa Edet Solomon has admonished the Akwa Ibom State Students at Federal Polytechnic Oko to remain law abiding and security conscious in the face of security challenges in the country.
Edet gave this charge during the Oko Poly Chapter of the National Association of Akwa Ibom State Students 2023 cultural day celebration at the convocation arena of the institution.
He also encouraged the students to take their academic studies serious and also endeavour to acquire practical skills for livelihood while studying. He further encouraged them to take advantage of the various empowerment / scholarship programmes of both the Anambra and Akwa Ibom State governments and that of other non governmental organizations.
Present at the event were other chieftains of Akwa Ibom community in Anambra State, lecturers from the institution and NAAKISS members from other higher institutions of learning within the state.
The highlights of the occasion included cultural displays, awards presentation, swearing in of new leadership of the association.
