The newly elected Executive Members of the Anambra State Town Union Council (ASTUC) Women Wing have been officially inaugurated at the Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare.
Speaking during the inauguration, the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, congratulated the executives on their election and urged them to carry out their responsibilities with the fear of God, unity, transparency, diligence, and commitment.
Mrs. Onyekesi emphasized that teamwork and selfless service would enable the association to achieve meaningful results and make a positive impact on women across Anambra State.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs, Barr. Vincent Ezeaka, congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and encouraged them to remain focused, united, and committed to advancing the objectives of the ASTUC Women Wing while supporting the development agenda of the state.
In her vote of thanks, the newly inaugurated President of the ASTUC Women Wing, Mrs. Blessings Ukamaka Unigwe, expressed appreciation to Mrs. Onyekesi and Barr. Ezeaka for their support and presence at the event.
She also commended the Electoral Committee for conducting a peaceful, successful, and credible election, assuring members that the new executive would work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in them.
