Reality TV star Phyna has won Nigeria’s first-ever female celebrity boxing bout, stopping actress Nkechi Blessing with a technical knockout in the fourth round.

The two women traded blows on Thursday night at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, headlining Balmoral’s “Chaos in the Ring” event held to mark Nigeria’s Independence Day celebrations. The clash drew a mix of entertainment fans and boxing enthusiasts eager to see the rivalry settled inside the ropes.
A rivalry resolved in the ring
The bout followed months of public sparring between the pair online, with both stars eventually agreeing to put their differences aside through a formal boxing match rather than continued social media feuding.
Organisers confirm the result
Event organisers declared Phyna the winner shortly after the fight was stopped. “After an incredible Independence Day celebration and chaos in the ring, we do have our winner for the first-ever female celebrity bout in the history of Chaos in the Ring,” the organiser announced.
They added: “A fourth-round technical knockout, your new champion is Phyna.”

The win cements Phyna’s place as the inaugural champion of the women’s division at Balmoral’s “Chaos in the Ring” franchise, marking a new chapter for celebrity boxing events in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
