The Governor of Anambra State, Prof.
Chukwuma Soludo has commissioned St. Charles Galaxy Hospital, built by lchida community.
The Bishop of Awka Catholic Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor had earlier dedicated and blessed the hospital for smooth take-off.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Soludo in his speech while commissioning over 100-bed spaced hospital facility, acknowledged the basic responsibility of government towards the provision of health, education, and other needs of the citizenry and commended the community for the task of investing in humanity.
In a remark, the Manager of the hospital, Rev. Fr. Augustine Igwebuike, spelt out the mission of the facility towards efficient health care service delivery and reduction of mortality rate for neighbouring communities.
Fr. Igwebuike maintained that the project, embarked upon by the community is to strengthen health care service delivery and that it was equipped by the Anambra State government.
The event also featured free medical outreach for the members of the community.
