Speaking Yoruba is Draining, Sometimes it Hurts My Nerves: Actress Adunni Ade

In a recent interview on Channels TV, popular Nollywood actress Adunni Ade said that speaking Yoruba sometimes can be draining.

Even though she has featured in several Yoruba movies, Adunni Ade, the executive producer of the Netflix movie, Soole utters that sometimes it hurts her nerves when people want her to speak Yoruba.

Note that Adunni Ade’s mother and father are from different racial backgrounds. Her mum, Emily Faye, is German-Irish, while her dad is a successful Yoruba businessman from Lagos State, Nigeria.

After bagging an Accounting degree from the University of Kentucky in 2008, she worked in Kentucky State’s housing and insurance sector in the US before pursuing a career in the modeling and fashion industry then landed a movie role in Yoruba film in 2013.

In the interview, 47-year-old Adunni Ade said; “Speaking Yoruba is draining, sometimes it hurts my nerves.”
