* Some residents of Awka the Anambra State Capital have commended the Capital Territory Development Agency, ACTDA for their consistency in ensuring that the liveable, prosperous and mega city plans of governor Chukwuma Soludo becomes a reality. According to the people, the Agency led by Mr Onuko has proven to be focused and resilient when it comes to doing the right things for the overall interest of the residents,motorists and road users.

* Anambra First Lady Mrs Nonye Soludo has urged parents to show clear intention in the way they raise their children and to ensure that they leave a solid legacy that would guide the children’s approach to life. Wife of the governor of Anambra State, Mrs Soludo, who was speaking in Awka, explained that parenting is a sensitive and exciting responsibility, stressing that a parent must understand that child raising comes with immense commitment and obligations. The governor’s wife explained that the responsibility of raising a child is driven by clear intention, for which parents have to decide the philosophy of life that they want their children to live by.

* Awka Capital Territory Development Authoriy (ACTDA) has embarked on routine enforcement exercise ahead of the commencement of a major access road construction work at Nibo. Speaking during the exercise, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authoriy (ACTDA) Hon. Ossy Onuko noted that those were the crucial sacrifices that must be made to transform the society and that the value of properties and quality of life will improve for residents when the road is completed. He enjoined them to keep supporting the Governor as he delivered the dividends of democracy.

* Anambra State House of Assembly has re-appoint Mr. Okechukwu Nwobi as the acting Clerk after his tenue which started on the 15th of August 2023 elapsed on Thursday 15th February 2024. The member representing Ekwusigo constituency and Majority Leader Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme while quoting section 21:2 of the Anambra state house of assembly service commission 2021, moved a motion for the reappointment of Mr. Okechukwu Nwobi as the acting Clerk, the motion was seconded by Hon. Patrick Okafor the member representing Onitsha North two constituency.

* The Anambra State House of Assembly has confirmed and extended the tenure of Transition Committee (TC) Chairmen of the 21 local government areas and their councillors for another three months. Anambra Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Somto Udeze at plenary read out the letter from Governor Chukwuma Soludo requesting for the consideration and confirmation of their tenue. Majority Leader Hon. Ikenna Ofodeme the member representing Ekwusigo constituency, moved a motion for their consideration and confirmation and was seconded by Honourable Golden Iloh (Ihiala two)

* Anambra State Government has handed over the premises of its defunct printing and Publishing Company, National Light for the construction of a Neigbourhood Leisure Park for recreational purposes. On the occasion were the Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Mr. Don Onyenji, Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Pauly Onyeka whose ministry is the supervisory one, Managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Mr. Ossy Onuko, who all extolled government’s decision to create a befitting recreational park for residents of the state. The Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Onyeka, said the ministry’s involvement is to ensure that the state government and indeed Ndi Anambra get value for every kobo to be spent on the project.

* The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi has met with stakeholders, seek partnership to boost infrastructure, human capital development, security and others in the council area and urged them to forge stronger bonds and collaborate to pave way for a brighter future for Idemili South and Anambra State. Hon. Obi

made the call during the Stakeholders meeting with Iruowelle Development Club (IDC) at Lagos State, describing Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo as a true visionary and dedicated leader of the State. She said that ndi Anambra are privileged to have Charly Nwamgbafor as the Governor of the State and should be celebrated everyday for his unwavering dedication to the betterment of the State, adding that we have witnessed tremendous strides in infrastructure development, community empowerment and sustainable growth.

* Professor Chukwuma Soludo has welcome wife of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and President of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Dr. Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun who paid him a courtesy visit at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia. Governor Soludo while speaking, expressed his appreciation for the work of POWA and their sacrifices in support of police officers.
