* The Anambra FA Chairman Gen Chikelue Iloenyosi alongside the NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, NFF Secretary General Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, NFF Technical Director Austin Eguavoen, NFF Disciplinary Committee Chairman Barr. JBC Obikwelu among other top football stakeholders were at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project as 30 Nigerian referees listed for international duty this year were decorated with their badges at a ceremony today. Among the referees decorated is Anambra born Patience Ndidi Madu.

* Political opposition’s have been warned by stakeholders and some residents of Awka not to capitalize on the ongoing effort of giving the capital a facelift to mobilize against the present government. According to them, the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo through the Awka Capital Territory Development Agency, ACTDA is doing a great job that no past government had ever done in the state and so needs all support instead of instigating business owners to turn against the government. They were reacting to the recent publication in some media outlets that vendors in the state were manhandled and displaced by ACTDA officials.

* Minister of Sports Senator John Ewan-Eno, has commended Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo for it’s clear vision for the development of the sports sector in the state. Ewan-Eno made the commendation when he received, Patrick-Estate Onyedum, Chairman of Anambra State Sports Development Commission in his office in Abuja. Onyedum who presented the Anambra five points agenda for sports also informed the minister of the activities and successes in the sectior.

* Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, represented by his Deputy, Dr OnyekaChukwu Ibezim visited the site of the state water board commission. This visit is a fulfillment of the state government’s commitment to democratise access to clean water for ndị Anambra. Recall that Dr. Ibezim visited the board a few months ago, to dissuade encroachment into the premises by mischievous elements in the state. Speaking to all present, Dr. Ibezim stressed on the need to ensure that the people of Anambra have access to clean water irrespective of social status.

* Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo has confirmed the appointment of Tochi Assumpta Obi as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Anambra State Hydraform and Concrete Agency. ANN reports that Anambra State Hydraform and Concrete Agency is an agency saddled with the responsibility of producing concrete works such as bricks, interlocking stones, pavements for project, etc. The agency also converts wastes to wealth, using plastics and nylons to produce bricks and blocks, among others.The appointment takes effect from 18th March, 2022.

* The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK, Awka, has honored the member representing Oyi Constituency in the Anambra state house of assembly, Hon Innocent Ojike in recognition of his input towards education development.

Engineer Iwu-Nwachukwu who spoke on behalf of the head of department Dr. Jude Dara, while presenting the award, extolled Hon. Ojike’s supports to education describing him as a rare breed. Nwachukwu noted that the department resolved to honor Hon Ojike for his passion for education which is rare from this generation of political leaders.

* Anambra State Housing Commissioner, Hon. Pauly Onyeka, has called on real estate developers to improve on their standards of estates by adopting the solution master plan of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in constructing livable housing in the state. The commissioner made the call when the executives of Anambra State Chapter of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria visited him at Jerome Udorji Secretariat Office Complex, Awka. He charged the association to help in tackling the challenges of housing deficit and to transform the industry positively by implementing the new Anambrs State Housing Policy to make the state livable and prosperous for the people.

* Anambra State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Forster Ihejiofor has predicted better days ahead if farmers and teeming population will harken to call for massive cultivation of land.
Ihejiofor explained that state government in collaboration with federal government in fulfilment of its commitment to boost food production,had distributed some inputs to encourage dry season farming. The commissioner, who was speaking with newsmen on food scarcity in his office, noted that the current situation could be controlled with joint effort by stakeholders,even as state government had profiled over 27,000 farmers for dry season farming. While encouraging them to have cluster farms, he assured of government support services to promote inter crop of the economic trees with stable crops
