* The Anambra State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has resolved unanimously that the incumbent governor Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo must vacate the Government House come 2025. That was the Crux of the matter at the Anambra State APC Youth Special Conference cum Award-Giving Ceremony held at Don Ritz Hotel Udoka Housing Estate Awka.
Chieftains of the party who thronged the venue for the event all spoke in one united voice saying that 2025 is the end of the road for Professor Soludo and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has appointed Mr. Adebayo Ojeyunka from Osun State and Mr. Joachin Achor from Abia State as permanent secretaries.The appointment of Mr. Ojeyinka from Osun State is particularly noteworthy as it breaks the traditional practice of reserving top civil service positions for indigenes only.

* Police in Anambra State have rescued four men abducted by dare devil kidnappers on Friday, 8th March, 2024. The Police, while on patrol and snap checks with the local vigilante, intercepted the kidnappers along Amagu Awgbu Road in Orumba North LGA as they were heading towards an exit route from the State. According to a release by DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, PPRO, the gang which opened fire sporadically on sighting the patrol team, bowed to Police-Vigilante superior firepower. Two of the three vehicles the gang operated with were demobilised. While remnant of the gang escaped in the third vehicle, other gangsters fled into the bush on foot with bullet wounds. One Pump Action Gun was recovered during the encounter.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has approved the appointments of new permanent secretaries across the civil service ministries in Anambra state. In line with Soludo’s reforms agenda to ensure transparency, accountability and optimal delivery of good governance to ndi Anambra, the new appointments were subjected to stringent due process and merit, not minding extraneous factors such as state of origin or any other affiliation.

* The federal government has been asked to look inwards and review the welfare of workers in Nigeria, especially in view of the economic realities facing the citizens.
The Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Mr Ossy Onuko made the call while receiving members of the Organised Labour, Anambra state chapter who called on him in his office in Awka. Playing host to the group, Mr Onuko said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration is very interested in the welfare of the state workforce and has been having a good relationship with them since inception.

* The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze says he is impressed at the pace at which road constructions are been handled. Rt. Hon. Udeze while speaking after inspecting road projects In Anambra Central Senatorial Zone on Saturday 9th March 2024, commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo over infrastructral developments across the state. Angel Network News (ANN) recalls that Rt. Hon. Udeze on Wednesday 6th March, inspected road projects in Anambra South Senatorial Zone.

* A Chieftain of the Labour Party, Hon Emeka Umeakuka has said that Chief Barth Nwibe is the best man for the job of next Anambra governor come 2025.
Umeakuka told journalists in Awka on Saturday that Anambra needed a thoroughbred, homegrown grass root politician with critical, creative thinking capacity to provide solutions to identified problems. The grassroots mobiliser described Nwibe, a oil magnate as a man with a blend of intellectual capacity, rich history of human capacity development and proven records of youth empowerment and employment

* The youths of of Umuoji in Idemili North Council Area embarked on a peaceful demonstration at the Anambra State Government House, Awka, calling for justice be served to the killers of their late President-General, Chief Silas Onyima.

The group who came with chants, were carrying placards with various inscriptions such as “Delayed Justice is justice denied”, “Injustice to one is injustice to all”, “Mr Governor, kindly prevail on the police to expedite action”, among others.
The National Youth Leader of Umuoji community Mr. Chudi Chukelu, who expressed heaviness of heart over the unfortunate incident, described the late Chief Onyima as one who has attracted many developments to Umuoji. Chukelu, who also described Chief Onyima as father to Umuoji youths, revealed that youths were on the verge of becoming violent before they eventually embarked on the visit, pleading with the government not to forsake them.
