The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his appointment as the Anambra State Coordinator of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 presidential election campaign.
Udeze emphasised the need for Anambra State to maintain a strong relationship with the Federal Government to facilitate development and attract greater benefits to the state.
In his congratulatory message, the Speaker noted that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as a progressive political party, had considered it necessary to collaborate with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the interest of the people and the overall development of the country.
He commended the APGA National Working Committee for celebrating the party’s National Leader, Soludo, on his appointment, while also praising President Tinubu for finding the Anambra governor worthy of the responsibility.
In a statement signed by Emma Madu, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Udeze lauded Soludo for promoting collaboration between the state and the Federal Government in pursuit of his vision for a better Anambra.
He highlighted several federal government interventions and projects with implications for Anambra State, including the appointment of Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr. Mark Okoye as Managing Director of the South-East Development Commission.
Other projects he cited were the ongoing construction of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, the rehabilitation of the First Niger Bridge to the required standard, and the award of contracts for the construction of the Aguleri-Lokoja Road and the Nnewi-Uga-Arondizuogu-Okigwe Road, among others.
The Speaker urged well-meaning citizens, particularly APGA faithful in Anambra State, to give Soludo the necessary support to enable him to discharge his responsibilities effectively as the state coordinator of Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign.
