For the second time in two months and due to the need to keep it’s bush areas, and entire Community crime-free, the Enugwu-Ukwu Joint Vigilante Security team undertook a Bush Combing exercise yesterday, but this time at the Agu Isionye land area Enugwu-Ukwu.

The combing was carried out by a team of over 40 trained Enugwu-Ukwu Security Operatives well armed, and determined to ensure that the Community lands are crime-free, in line with the vision and commitment of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, in signing into law the Anambra State Homeland Security Law 2025 for a safe and secure Anambra State.

During the exercise, the team went round the Enugwu-Ukwu end of the Agu Isionye land area (which equally extended to the boundary with the neighbouring Nawfia Community) during which some discoveries were made including a decomposing body of an unidentified middle-aged man possibly shot at the neck, and dumped in a gutter at the Agu Isionye land area, not far distance from the road leading through the Security Tower to the Enugu-Onitsha Express way road; a hidden herdsmen settlement mini-camp with their cows, etc.

According to Sir Nnamdi Onuzulike,
Security Council Secretary/Dir. of Admin & Finance Enugwu-Ukwu AVG, the bush combing exercise brought a great relief and confidence to the villagers around the area who hitherto were afraid of going to fetch their firewoods, or go to their farms in the Agu Isionye farms for fear of attack by possible miscreants or ritualists.

“Upon, the completion of the bush combing exercise, the Joint Vigilante Security team undertook a special patrolling exercise across the major roads and corners in the Enugwu-Ukwu Community in an effort to remind those concerned that the Community is not a fertile ground for criminality of any kind.

“It was a successful exercise yesterday, just as the Community is already gearing up for other bush Combing exercises, and other tough security measures in the nearest future’. Onuzulike stated.
