Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Orumba North and South House of Representative aspirant, Sir. Amajua Collins Chukwuma says his aspiration is built on a clear vision of transparent, accessible, and people-centered representation.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, Bar. Amajua maintained that for too long, many constituents have felt disconnected from government, and the impact of representation has not been fully felt at the grassroots.
“My mission is to change that narrative by ensuring that governance becomes closer, more responsive, and more beneficial to every ward and community in Orumba.
“Transparency is the foundation of trust. As your representative, I will ensure that the people of Orumba are fully informed of every project, intervention, and budgetary allocation attracted to the constituency.
“To achieve this, I will publish bi-annual constituency accountability reports showing clear details of projects, progress, funds, and outcomes.
“Governance must be inclusive. I will establish quarterly constituency town hall meetings across Orumba North and South where citizens can engage directly, ask questions, raise concerns, and contribute ideas to governance and development.
“Representation must be accessible. I will operate a fully functional constituency office staffed with competent full-time personnel to receive complaints, proposals, and follow-ups from constituents.
“This office will serve as the bridge between the people and the National Assembly.
“In today’s world, communication must be fast and effective. I will launch a digital communication platform (mobile and online) that will allow constituents to interact in real time, report issues, receive updates, and monitor progress of constituency projects.
“Laws must reflect the needs of the people. I will introduce a People’s Legislative Feedback Framework, ensuring that constituents’ views and community interests are properly captured before bills, motions, and debates are presented at the National Assembly.
“My commitment is simple: to serve with integrity, openness, and dedication, ensuring that Orumba North and South receives the quality representation it deserves.
“Together, we will build a constituency where governance works for the people, development reaches the grassroots, and every citizen has a voice.
