Teachers Registration Council Inducts Graduates Of NOCOEN In Anambra

Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has inducted one thousand and eighty-nine graduates who successfully passed the Professional Examination at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.

ANN gathered that out of the 1,448 candidates who took the exam, 350 failed to scale through. 

During the eighth induction ceremony for Postgraduate Diploma in Education, PGDE, Bachelors of Education, B. Ed, and National Certificate of Examination, NCE graduates into TRCN, the Registrar and Chief Executive of the council, Prof. Josiah Ajiboye emphasized the significance of the event,  highlighting that TRCN serves as the gateway to a professional teaching career and personal development.

Prof. Ajiboye, represented by the Director of Regulation, Accreditation, and Enforcement at TRCN, Dr. Okunola Abimbola, congratulated the inductees and encouraged them to be innovative and creative in their teaching, adopt new approaches, and uphold the professional creed, and urged them to introduce new technologies and methodologies to engage their students effectively.

In a remark, the Provost of the College, Dr. Ifeyinwa Osegbo represented by the Chairman, College Planning Committee, Dr. Ndu Azubuike, expressed concerns about the low quality of education in Nigeria, attributing it to the poor quality of teachers and their service delivery while commending TRCN for insisting on competence among professionals.

The Provost congratulated the inductees and praised TRCN for its role in regulating and classifying the teaching profession, extending gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his support.

The Chairman on the occassion, Dr. Innocent Nwanekezie, congratulated the inductees and emphasized the importance of teachers in society, urging them to consider their profession as noble.

On behalf of the new inductees, Ms. Obianuju Tagbo expressed gratitude to the Provost and TRCN for their support and knowledge imparted.
