* The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi has commended Awka-Etiti and Oba communities for the peaceful conduct of their president general elections. Speaking after the election, Obi said the two communities could be described as remarkable because of the peaceful and orderly manner the town union election was conducted by the committees of the two towns, noting that it is not only heart-warming, but speaks to the fact that democracy is taking a firm root in the state.

* The Oyi Local Government Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon. Harold Umunna Maduka has congratulated the new president general of Umunya, Chief Chinedu Gilbert Ekwugha and his executives over their election victory. Maduka while congratulating Chief Ekwugha said his victory is a call to duty, noting that it is his wish that this victory comes with massive infrastructure in the community. He prayed that God will give the executives good health and the wisdom needed for a successful tenure. Maduka also commended the outgoing president general of Ununya and his executives for their contributions towards the development of the community and urged them to join hands with the Incoming executives for the betterment of the community.

* The First Lady of Anambra State Mrs Nonye Soludo graced Dr. Nkem and Pharm. Nneka Okeke’s wedding ceremony at ASUU Secretariat, Unizik, Awka. Dr. Mrs Nonye Soludo, who was represented by the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi advised the couple to make God the bedrock of their home by always praying together. She urged the couple to uphold family values in their efforts to build a solid home and become a blessing to their generation.

* Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has received the Chief of Defense Staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, on a courtesy visit.
Angel Network News reports that General Musa who was accompanied by senior military officials, was received at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia. Receiving General Musa, Soludo acknowledged the crucial role of the Nigerian Armed Forces in restoring peace in Anambra state.

* Nimo community in Njikoka Local Government Council Area of Anambra State have elected Engineer Dan Zeelunjo Anakpe as the new President General. Angel Network News reports that Engr. Anakpe got 447 votes to emerge as the new President-General.

* The 2023 Young Progressive Party candidate for House of Representatives, Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Hon. Charles Uchenna Okafor has congratulated Chief Gilbert Chinedu Ekwugha on his emergence as the new President of Umunya Community. Hon Okafor, in a statement through his media aide, Casmir Obiegbolu also hailed the Past Presidents General and Patrons of Umunya community on the success of the election that produced the new leadership.

* Anambra state Commissioner for Power and Water Resources Engr Julius Chukwuemeka has bag three different awards. The awards came from Aguleri Students Association, The department of Modern European Studies, faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and
from Ivite Umueri community.

* The member representing Oyi Constituency at the Anambra state house of assembly, Hon Innocent Ojike has Sympathizes with Ekweozor family of Ojobi village, Umunya. In his condolence message, Ojike described late Ichie Ifemelumma as one of those who when alive, contributed so much for the development of Umunya and urged Ekweozor family not to weep like those without hope but to have the assurance that God who’s our creator is always with them.

* Anambra state commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr Julius Chukwuemeka recently chaired the 2023 annual youth day celebration of Aguleri National Youth Association. The event which was held at the Ugwunadagbe Primary School field, Aguleri, attracted all the youth bodies that formed ANYA Aguleri together to chat a new course especially as it affects the youth.

In his address, Engr Chukwuemeka thanked the leadership of Aguleri National Youth Association for putting up the programme which has become an annual event and pledged his commitment and support to the association in the interest of the youth.

* The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Victor Umeh has paid a condolence visit to the Adimike family in Awka Etiti in Idemili South LGA on the funeral of their Son, brother and father Mr Ifeanyichukwu Charles Adimike who died at 56 years. Umeh expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family and prayed that God grant the bereaved family, the fortitude to contain the irreplaceable loss of their father.
