A bill for a law to provide for the regulation of Igbo Apprenticeship System (Igba boi and trainee) and for related matters has passed through first reading at the Anambra State House of Assembly.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the the sponsor of the bill, Hon. Ejike Okechukwu, member representing Anaocha two constituency moved a motion for the presentation and first reading taken. It was seconded by Hon. Nobel Igwe, member representing Ogbaru one constituency.
Also at plenary, the house committee chairman on Public Petition Hon. Obi Nweke, the member representing Anambra East constituency, presented a report.
The petion titled “Wrong use of executive government power, intimidation, incivility, vindictiveness, denial of right and wanton damage and destruction of private properties of Chief Authur Nwora by Anambra state taskforce used by Physical Planning in Onitsha Relief Main Market, through instigation of Mr. Louis Onyeabo as the chairman of the market”.
