The winners of various sports events in the just concluded 3rd edition of Anambra Sports Solution Initiative (ANSSI) have been presented with cheques of various amounts.
The Chairman of the Commission, Chief Estate Patrick Onyedum while making the presentation at the headquarters in Awka,
commended the schools that took part in the competition, the main organizing committee (MOC), games masters, Sports Officers and LOC members for delivering a successful sports event that showcased budding talents across the State.
Onyedum assured that the next edition of the competition would even be better with more robust parkage aimed at deepening grassroot sports development.
The Chairman urged the schools and sports coordinators to ensure that the gifts to the students and pupils, especially the bicycles, get directly to students who excelled, stressing that the initiative is designed to encourage young talents and instill a strong sports culture among Anambra youths.
Onyedum also used the opportunity to thank all those who partnered the Commission in making the 3rd ANSSI edition project a huge success, including Dr. Mrs Nonye Soludo, first lady Anambra State, Prof. Ngozi Chuma Udeh, Commissioner for Education, Chief Inno Posh Chikezie, MD/CEO Keves Global Leasing, Chief Ikenna Okafor, CEO Sterling group, Engr. Charles Obiekwe, MD/CEO MO&C international Ltd, Chief Joseph Odobatu, Fidelity bank and Mrs. Philomena Egbuniwe.
Onyedum noted that their contributions underline a shared commitment to nuturing grassroot sports and promoting healthy youth engagement across the State. He maintained that through the ANSSI platform, the Soludo administration continues to demostrate a firm resolve to harness the potential of sports as a tool for youth empowerment, social cohesion and the overall transformation of Anambra State.

the winners in various categories include : U-12 First position – Township Primary school Fegge Onitsha, Onitsha LGA. Second position – Decimal Foundation School Awka, Awka South LGA. Third position – Practicing School, Agulu, Anaocha LGA.
U-14: First position – Ado Girls Secondary School Onitsha, Onitsha North LGA
Second position – Community High School Ugbenu, Awka North LGA
Third position – Vision High School Nnewi, Nnewi North LGA
U-18: First position – Vision High School Nnewi, Nnewi North LGA. Second position – Ide Secondary School Enugu-Ukwu, Njikoka LGA. Third position – Christ the king College Onitsha, Onitsha South LGA.
